The Quai de la Rapee station is located in southeastern Paris. It serves metro line 1 and fare zone 1 in 12e. Its single access portal is at Quai de la Rapee and pont d'Austerlitz.
Quai de la Rapee was completely submerged during the flood of 1910. Afterwards, it was given an open air plan and is a unique above ground station. Its name derives from Sieur de la Rapee who was commissioner of war for Louis XV.
The station is close to Place de la Bastille, which straddles 4e, 11e, and 12e.
The area is also steeped in business, mostly in the area of Bercy where many retailers as well as the Palais Omnisports reside.
