The Porte de la Chapelle station is located in the 18e. It serves metro line 12 in fare zone 1.
The station is named for the ancient entrance of the same name which controlled route one into Paris along the rue de la Chapelle. It was also the same road that took travelers from Lutetia to the north.
Currently the station will begin work for an additional access in 2009 and will be reopened in 2012.
Nearby places of interest include the acclaimed market Chapelle, church Jeanne d'Arc and soon to be a new skate park.
