Located in the 18e of the northern outskirts of Paris, Porte de Clignancourt sttation has access points along boulevard Ornano and is in fare zone 1.
The station, opened in 1908, is named after an ancient commune that was with the abbey of Saint-Denis. The hamlet was annexed to Paris in 1860. The ‘porte' portion of the name signifies the gate that used to protect the small village.
The large Les Puces de Saint-Ouen flea market is a short stroll from Porte de Clignancourt as is the Cimetiere de Saint-Oeun, which is associated with Joan of Arc.
