About Monceau Metro Station, Paris

The Monceau station is located in the 8e in the north western half of Paris. It provides service to Metro Line 2 in fare zone 1 and has access at de la Republique Dominicaine.
Monceau opened in 1902, two years after the entire metro originally opened. It received its name in celebration of a village in the area that was eventually annexed by Paris.
The Monceau station serves Parc Monceau, and public park established in 1778 that was inspiration for Claude Monet's 1876 work called Le Parc Monceau.
