The Maraichers station is located in the eastern Paris in the 20e. It serves metro line 9 in fare zone 1.
Maraichers refers to the rue des Maraichers, or the street of markets and gardeners. The surrounding hills of the district were cultivated by gardeners, who were most famous for the peaches that they produced.
The station provides access to the Menilmontant, Chinatown and Belleville residential districts. The area is also well know for the Pere Lachaise Cemetery.
