The Les Gobelins station is located in south Paris' 13e. It serves metro line 7 in fare zone 1.
The station is named after the Gobelin clan who were the main dye makers during the 15th century. They also manufactured tapestries until 1662 when their factory was taken over by Louis XIV.
To this day the Les Gobelins factory still produces a small amount of tapestry for the French government.
