Located along boulevard de la Chapelle and rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis in northern Paris, the La Chapelle station is connected to the Gare du Nord train station as well as metro lines 4 and 5. It is within 10e and fare zone 1.
The name is derived from the boulevard that, in turn, came from a small commune that was annexed in 1860. It was named for a chapel that was built to worship Saint Genevieve in the 6th century.
La Chapelle is also close to the lovely canal Saint-Martin and the olden Porte Saint Denis.
