The Hotel de Ville station grants entrance to Metro Lines 1 and 11. It is located along the Seine's right bank, just east of Paris' center and is within fare zone 1.
The station, which opened in 1900, is named after the famous hotel that bears the same name. The Hotel is home to the Mayor of Paris' office and also provides a place to soak up some sun in its large square. Hotel de Ville station is also nearby the beautiful French Baroque church called St. Gervais et St. Protaise Church of Paris.
To the north of the station lies one of Paris' best shopping districts on rue de Rivoli that includes many favorite chains stores like Agnes b, H & M and Diesel. It's also close by the Bazar de Hotel de Ville, a large department store named after the hotel.
