This station is one of the most important interchanges in Madrid. Four of the city’s busiest lines run through here, mainly serving the northern and western parts of the city, as well as a number of bus routes. A journey to the centre by metro takes roughly twenty minutes, about the same time it takes to get from here to the airport. The area is mainly residential, but also contains some lesser known tourist attractions, such as the Museo de la Ciudad, a museum tracing the history of the city, and the Auditorio de Música, one of Madrid’s foremost venues for classical music.
For those wishing to stay a little further from the centre, try staying along the Avenida de América, such as at the Abba Madrid or the AC Avenida de América.
